The STEM Organisation providing two distinct scholarships for college students and school students in the name of Devaki Ammal Memorial Scholarship – Light of hope.

About the Scholarship

In loving memory of Mother Devaki, who tragically passed away in a fire accident at a young age, leaving behind three sons, the Devaki Ammal Memorial Scholarship aims to provide educational support to marginalized children. Founded by Daniel Abdiel, her son, this scholarship honors his mother’s legacy and helps children overcome adversity.

AIM

Empowering marginalized children through education, helping them overcome adversity and create a brighter future.              

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be between 4-18 years old (boys and girls)
  • Come from families with an annual income of less than ₹1 lakh
  • Have parents with illiterate or primary-level education
  • Have parents employed in unskilled/semiskilled jobs (e.g., daily wages, flower/vegetable vendors)
  • Be a single-parent child or have experienced the sudden death of any parent due to fire accident, vehicle accident, disease, or natural disaster

STEM’s Intervention

With STEM’s support and guidance, Sangeeta was empowered to make informed decisions about her career. We provided her with effective counseling, guidance, and resources, which enabled her to pursue her passion and enroll in an MSW (HR) program.

A New Chapter

Today, Sangeeta is a successful HR Executive at a renowned consulting firm. Her journey is a remarkable example of how STEM’s supportive ecosystem can unlock an individual’s potential and propel them towards success.
