Enlightening the lives

SHINE Project – Enlightening the lives

Started on February 2nd, 2024, in Mel Aynambakkam, the SHINE Project commenced as a pilot initiative, catering to 25 children of migrant workers. Over a four-month period, our team provided informal education and prepared these children for formal schooling in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar. Our dedicated team, comprising two Hindi tutors and volunteers, conducted successful evening classes. The project’s multifaceted approach emphasized:

1. Strong foundation in informal education
2. Parental counseling and support
3. Community awareness programs
4. Child rights advocacy

The pilot project’s outstanding outcome led to 7 children being enrolled in nearby government primary schools, with our organization facilitating a seamless transition. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to empowering marginalized communities and ensuring access to quality education for all.

Vision

SHINE envisions a society where every child has equal opportunities to grow, learn, and succeed, free from social and economic constraints.

Mission Statement

Empowering underprivileged children through holistic education, life skills, and community support, transforming lives and shaping a brighter future for all.

Project Expansion

The SHINE Project has evolved into an ongoing initiative with a proper syllabus. We aim to focus on the holistic development of children’s lives, extending our reach to nearby areas like Kilayanambakkam to support children facing similar challenges.
